History
Used in antiquity against female diseases. In the Middle Ages it was also used as a diuretic, a remedy for jaundice, gall stones and much more. There were many beliefs associated with this plant. If one dug it up on Midsummers Night and hung it up over the front door, it would keep witchcraft and other deviltry away.
