History
Known through the ages as a poisonous plant. The Greeks executed the condemned with hemlock. Introduced to the North by monks, who used the plant medically. Given in small doses, the plant’s sap relieved pain and was believed to suppress male sex drive, when laid as a plaster on the testicles.
